Doubling Our Impact: From Success to Sustainability

This year, Butte SPIRIT Homes graduated as many residents as we had in our first four years of operation combined. We served 48 individuals, operated at full capacity, and maintained a 72.7% continuous sobriety rate among graduates.

Our graduates are succeeding. They're finding jobs, rebuilding relationships, and maintaining sobriety. But many struggle to find housing due to criminal records, lack of rental history, or limited options for sober living in Butte.

On October 15, 2025, we closed on our third facility - an eight-bed men's transitional home - thanks to outstanding large grants and gifts this year, totaling over $400,000, we plan to open as soon as December 2025. Now, we're launching a campaign to match this investment by opening a women's transitional home by August 2026.

A Proven Approach to Sustainable Recovery

Unlike our intensive ASAM Level 3.1 treatment homes, this facility will be certified solely to the National Alliance of Recovery Residences standards, offering supportive sober living for our licensed program graduates and others in stable recovery who simply need safe housing. Residents will pay affordable rent for supportive sober living without mandatory treatment requirements. This model:

  • Serves graduates from our intensive program who are ready for more independence
  • Provides housing for individuals in stable recovery who just need sober living
  • Creates sustainable operating income through resident rents
  • Fills a critical gap in Butte's recovery continuum

Our track record speaks for itself: 72.7% of graduates maintain continuous sobriety. Providing transitional housing ensures our graduates have the stability they need to maintain that success long-term.
